By selecting the appropriate secondary coil to match the voltage ratio between the power supply and the instrument, this wiring method can be used to adjust the sensitivity of the transformer.

5. Series and parallel wiring

Series and parallel wiring is often used to change the accuracy of current transformers. Series wiring is usually used to improve the measurement ability of DC current, while parallel wiring is used to improve the measurement ability of AC current.

In the series connection, the primary coil of the transformer is connected in the middle of the circuit, so that all currents in the circuit are measured. In parallel wiring, several transformers are connected together in parallel to improve their measurement capability.
